Prosper Legault’s practice straddles the border between sculpture and poetry. Using remnants of signs and street furniture gleaned from his wanderings through towns and suburbs, he produces three-dimensional collages. Prosper’s art reflects globalisation and its excesses, and the way in which capital cities digest and mix the objects and cultures from which they originate. He introduces a daily life that is usually barely visible in the exhibition space.
