House of Romanesque Art

The core of this collection, assembled by Henri Aymard (1878–1956), consists of 35 12th-century Romanesque capitals, around ten corbels and two portal arches. The ensemble takes the form of a medieval chapel. It is not a place of worship but a setting reconstructed in the early 20th century, bringing together the three major artistic forms of the Middle Ages: sculpture, painting and stained-glass.
Open to groups only and by appointment – Friday to Sunday, 3pm to 6pm
