A few weeks later, we returned to Loudun for a completely different experience: the Lug’en scène Festival. This event is a real breath of artistic fresh air. Live performances take to the streets and squares. Street theatre, music, dance, circus… every corner of the pavement hides a surprise. The children loved a completely crazy puppet show, while we were swept away by a troupe of actors improvising with the audience. This whirlwind of culture delighted the whole family. We left with smiles from ear to ear and the certainty that here, culture is truly accessible to all.

Ecotourism celebrates in Moncontour

Another event not to be missed in the Loudunais region is the Ecotourism Festival in Moncontour. Between bike rides, nature workshops and local tastings, the day flies by. Zoé loved making insect hotels while Maxime tested his knowledge of local wildlife in a fun quiz. We enjoyed a walk along the leisure centre before laying out a tablecloth for a zero-waste picnic by the water. It was a moment suspended in time, listening to the wind, laughter and frogs singing at the top of their voices.

A wonderful discovery at the Solidarity and Tolerance Festival

One of our trips to the Loudun region led us to discover the Solidarity and Tolerance Festival in Loudun. At this event dedicated to kindness and sharing, we were able to discover world music, attend open debates, participate in activities… In short, everything was designed to celebrate diversity.

The children took part in a workshop to make colourful flags while we attended an open-air concert. We laughed, we talked, we discovered cultures and stories. It was the kind of moment that makes you think while leaving you with a big smile on your face.
