Some of our events invite you to look at the region from a different angle. The PL’Secrets en Loudunais events are one of them. You’ll arrive at places you thought you knew, and then their backstage areas open up to reveal a few secrets (not all of them, though). Follow a guided tour, listen to an enthusiast tell an anecdote, discover a detail you’d never noticed before. It’s an open door to the intimacy of the Loudun region, accessible to everyone, children included.

This desire to understand what surrounds us also comes back during the History Days at Monts-sur-Guesnes. Here, the past is told from a child’s and an adult’s perspective, with animated tours, small demonstrations and meetings with those who are working to pass on this heritage. As you make your way through the village, it’s like living in a story, with the simple pleasure of linking a place to a story.

Literary heritage also has its high points: in Loudun, the Prix Renaudot des Lycéens puts young people in the driving seat. They read, compare and argue, then vote for the winner, with a chance to talk to the authors. At the same time, the Renaudot Month opens its doors wide to the general public, with readings, conversations and writing workshops… all great opportunities to pick up ideas, discover new writers and simply share a taste for books.
