PL’Secrets: rediscovering the House of Romanesque Art

LOUDUN On the Saturday 11 April 2026 15:00

Housed in a former residence in the historic centre, the Maison de l’Art Roman (Romanesque Art Centre) boasts a remarkable collection of Romanesque sculptures, put together by a local history enthusiast and displayed in a reconstructed medieval chapel.
The Romanesque collection continues in a second building and extends from the Gothic to the Renaissance, and even beyond, highlighting some particularly remarkable pieces.
The tour will be guided by historian Sylvette Noyelle and Jean-Yves Chèvre-Baleige, head of Loudun’s museums, who will shed light on the history and treasures of the site.
